My heart was actually pounding.

And the sounds! When I messed up a move and a little cub got swept away, the tiny whimper it made? Ugh, it made me feel so bad, I immediately hit undo. I totally lost track of time. I started playing around 8 and next thing I know, it's 11. I was so focused on trying to get this one family of rhinos past a really tricky lava flow stage – yeah, lava flows, not just cute animals – that I didn't even notice. I usually don't even like puzzle games that much, your know? But this was different. It's like a super smart version of those old puzzle games where you have to guide little guys, but with actual animal stakes and a real story unfolding.

I figured out that if you group the smaller, faster animals near the bigger, stronger ones *before* the event starts, you save way more of them. That little trick completely changed how I played the whole game. It's really clever how they designed that.
